Young Boy Lucky to be Alive After Fall

August 16, 2011

We meet a lot of interesting things in this world every day. One of such interesting things happened on July 5th, 2011 in Sarband, Tajikistan on street Somoni 4, Apt.9. 12 year old boy Avgonov Farhod, who lives on the 3rd floor in our neighborhood, was alone at home and wanted to grab the attention of the people in the yard. He sat on the window-sill and all the neighbors looked at him. Suddenly the boy fell down. First his feet hit the ground and then he fell on his hands and broke one of them. It’s unbelievable-a boy fell from the 3rd floor and broke only his hand.

When I asked Farhod, “How did you feel in such a situation?“ -“When I fell out, I lost consciousness and when I awoke I was at the hospital and my hand was broken”,- said Farhod. I asked Farhod’s mother: “Where were you when this happened?” --“I was at my friends house and one of my neighbours ran into the house crying and saying that my son fell out of the window. I was about to die. I ran home as fast as I could, but my son was already at the hospital.” I

also talked to our neighbour Parvina who was at the place during the accident: “Were you at that place when it happened?” --“Yes, I was sitting and talking with my friend when Farhod called me and asked to look at him. I looked at him one time and didn’t pay attention. I turned to my friend and continued our talking. After couple minutes I looked back at Farhod and saw him falling down out of the window. I ran up to him very quickly and everyone gathered around him. I ran after his mother. It’s very strange and interesting that he fell down on his feet but broke his hand.”

I talked to a doctor Sharipov Tohir: -“You are Farhod’s doctor and what do you think as a medical professor?” --“Farhod has very strong bones in feet and hands, that’s why he was lucky during the fall”-said the doctor. --I asked the doctor: “How often such things happen in Sarband? “Such things happen very seldom in Sarband town.”

Don’t leave your children without attention and alone at home, because any accident can occur and you will lose the child!
