iEARN and ICFJ hosted an online discussion with youth journalists from around the world to mark World Press Freedom Day on May 3.
Students participating in the World Youth News project from Pakistan, Turkey, India and the U.S. joined MEPI High School Journalism project students from Kuwait and Oman. They discussed what press freedom means to them, what it means in their countries and the impact of social media today. Mentors from ICFJ and PBS NewsHour Extra's Student Reporting Labs facilitated the two-hour discussion!
